Braylon Johnson is a 6-foot-7 freshman guard from Moon Township, Pennsylvania, who attended Pinnacle High School in Phoenix. He is the younger brother of NBA veteran Cam Johnson, who was the 11th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft by Minnesota and reached the 2021 NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns. Another brother, Puff Johnson, played at North Carolina and Penn State. Braylon more than doubled his scoring average as a high school senior to 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and notably switched from shooting right-handed to left-handed two years ago. He redshirted during his first season at Grand Canyon.
