Jackson transferred to Our Saviour Lutheran for his senior year and simultaneously competed in Overtime Elite as a non-professional player, averaging 23.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists. A consensus five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American, he signed with North Carolina, where he earned All-ACC Freshman Team honors after averaging 11.9 points on 45.6 percent shooting and 39.5 percent from three in 23.8 minutes per game. Jackson entered the transfer portal and committed to St. John's in April 2025, returning home to New York City to play for Rick Pitino.
