He made his BAL debut in April 2022 with Egypt's Zamalek, coached by current BYU assistant Will Voigt, and later played for AS Douanes in Senegal during the 2024 BAL season. Mboup reclassified from the class of 2025 to 2024, turning 18 in September, and enrolled at BYU as a mid-year addition in December 2024. He redshirted the 2024-25 season and earned Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team honors. The 6-foot-9 forward is valued for his defensive versatility, ability to guard multiple positions, and developing offensive game.
