A consensus five-star recruit and one of the top-ranked players in the 2025 class, he announced his commitment to Arizona on The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN in March 2025, choosing the Wildcats over Arizona State, Baylor, Houston and Texas. Peat won a gold medal at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup under Lloyd's coaching. He made a thunderous collegiate debut, scoring 30 points with seven rebounds and five assists in a nationally televised upset of No. 3 Florida, the defending national champions -- the second-most points by an Arizona freshman in program history.
