Layden Blocker is a junior guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, who came to DePaul after one season at Arkansas. A consensus four-star prospect rated as high as 24th nationally by Rivals coming out of high school, Blocker redshirted his first year with the Razorbacks before transferring to Chicago. As a sophomore with the Blue Demons, he started 21 of 33 games and averaged 9.5 points and 3.1 assists, capped by a career-high 25 points with five three-pointers in the Big East Tournament quarterfinals against Creighton. Blocker has taken over as DePaul's primary ball handler under head coach Chris Holtmann.
