Mark Lavrenov did not have to travel far to find his college home. The Rocklin, California native was the most decorated player in his region coming out of Rocklin High School in 2025 — a first-team All-State selection, Sacramento Bee Player of the Year and Sierra Foothill League MVP who set the school's single-season scoring record with 654 points. Prep Hoops ranked him the top power forward and 12th best recruit in Northern California. As a true freshman under Coach Mike Bibby, the 6-8 forward has absorbed a heavy workload and responded, appearing in 23 games with 15 starts and averaging 10.6 points and 7.2 rebounds. He has already posted a season-high 26 points and proven he belongs among Division I competition from day one.
