Markel Jennings is a sophomore walk-on guard from Watkinsville, Georgia, just outside Athens. He attended Athens Academy and received a preferred walk-on offer from coach Mike White during an unofficial visit to UGA. The son of Mark and Delores Jennings, both UGA graduates — Mark is also a UGA Foundation trustee — Jennings grew up in a Bulldogs household. Injuries have limited his availability, but he made his collegiate debut in a win over West Georgia.
