Parker Jefferson took a winding road to Gonzaga. The 6-9 forward from Waxahachie, Texas originally committed to Minnesota, but when the Golden Gophers fired head coach Ben Johnson after a 15-17 season, Jefferson reopened his recruitment. He visited Spokane and committed to Mark Few on the spot, saying he knew "right away this is where I belong." Jefferson comes from a basketball family: his mother Carrie played at Arkansas, his brother Michael played at Iona, his sister Kaylee played at Sam Houston State, and his father Mike was a football lineman at Arkansas. A three-star, top-175 recruit, Jefferson averaged 16.3 points on 53 percent shooting, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game as a senior at Inglewood High School in California. He is redshirting the 2025-26 season to develop before competing for minutes.
