The 6-2 freshman from Maryville, Missouri, spent his senior season at Waukee Northwest High School in suburban Des Moines, where he helped lead his team to the 2025 state championship game while averaging 13.1 points and 5.2 assists per game. He earned First Team All-State honors from the Iowa Professional Sports Writers Association and was a Class 5A First Team All-State selection by Sports Illustrated.
