Savon Wykle is a graduate guard from Smyrna, Tennessee, who took one of the more winding roads in college basketball before landing at Middle Tennessee. He began at Parkland College in Illinois, where he was named Mid-West Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year after averaging 10.6 points per game. He moved to Northwood College, then to the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where he started 32 of 33 games as a senior and averaged 11.7 points per game — including a career-high 23 points in February 2025. Wykle returned home to Tennessee by signing with MTSU for the 2025-26 season as a graduate transfer.
