Anthony Thompson is a 6-8, left-handed small forward from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, with a 7-foot-3 wingspan and 32 total scholarship offers. Originally from Lebanon, Ohio, he earned all-conference and all-state honors as a sophomore at Lebanon High before transferring to Western Reserve Academy, where he averaged 21.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.3 steals as a junior. On the Adidas 3SSB circuit with Indiana Elite, he averaged 22.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks across 17 games. A McDonald's All-American and Naismith third-team All-American, Thompson is the highest-rated Ohio State signee since Greg Oden and the program's first top-10 verbal commitment in 16 years. He committed to Ohio State in October 2025, choosing the Buckeyes over Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and Kentucky.
