Bruce Branch III is a 6-7 small forward who was the consensus No. 1 prospect in the 2027 class before reclassifying to 2026 in November 2025. Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, he helped Perry High School to a 27-2 record and a No. 4 national ranking as a sophomore before transferring to Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale. With the Compton Magic on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, he averaged 15.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 39 percent from three, and earned the Rising Star award at the Adidas Eurocamp in Italy. A McDonald's All-American known for his dangerous perimeter shooting, athleticism, and pick-and-roll passing, Branch committed to BYU on March 3, 2026, choosing the Cougars over USC in what was widely considered a major recruiting coup for the program.
