Dean Rueckert is a 6-8 small forward from Timpview High School in Provo, Utah, a lifelong BYU fan who grew up idolizing Jimmer Fredette. Considered the best perimeter shooter in Utah's 2026 class, he shot 36 percent from three in EYBL play on nearly 7 attempts per game and 47 percent on unguarded catch-and-shoot attempts. The son of two BYU alumni, Rueckert committed to BYU under Kevin Young and signed in November 2025, choosing the Cougars over Washington, Clemson, Stanford, and Utah.
