Gavin Placide is a 6-9, 220-pound power forward originally from Colorado who plays at Faith Family Academy in Dallas, Texas. He and his identical twin brother Gallagher committed to Wake Forest together as a package deal on September 18, 2025. Known for his defensive versatility and rebounding — he averaged 8.8 rebounds in AAU play — the Placide twins took official visits to NC State and Florida State before choosing Wake Forest.
