Marcus Johnson is a 6-2 point guard from Garfield Heights in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of local basketball legend Sonny Johnson. A three-time First Team All-Ohio selection who became the first freshman to earn that honor, Johnson won Ohio Mr. Basketball in both 2025 and 2026. He originally committed to Ohio State but decommitted on October 27, 2025, then committed to South Carolina under coach Lamont Paris shortly thereafter, following in the footsteps of his cousin Meechie Johnson.
