Conference Overview
The Conference USA was founded in 1995 through the merger of the Metro Conference and the Great Midwest Conference, bringing together programs from across the Southeast, Texas, and Mid-Atlantic regions. The conference has undergone dramatic changes in recent realignment cycles, losing members like Houston, Memphis, and UTEP to other leagues while gaining new programs from the Sun Belt and independent ranks. Marshall, Western Kentucky, UAB, and Middle Tennessee have carried the basketball banner for CUSA in recent seasons.
