The Big Sky Conference, founded in 1963, serves universities across the Mountain West and Pacific Northwest. Montana, Montana State, Idaho State, Weber State, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona, Idaho, Eastern Washington, Sacramento State, Cal Poly, Portland State, and UC Davis compete in a geographically sprawling conference covering some of the most scenic campuses in college athletics. Weber State's Damian Lillard — before his NBA stardom — put the Big Sky on the national basketball map, demonstrating that elite talent can emerge from smaller conferences.
